I know soap and carbon steel is not the optimum combination.
But I would like to try and cook with one of the De Buyer carbon steel pans, and knowing myself and my GF, we will clean it afterwards with a mild soap-water solution.
Will this make the pan ryust in the long run (or short run) ?
I don't fancy the idea of just burning the bactieria away, and letting it sit without cleaning it in soap.
Can you lown such a carbon steel pan and clean it in soap and be happy or will it lead to rusting problems fast ?
