I was happy today to try this new (open 3 months) place in Walnut Creek. Their menu includes appetizers like bolani kachaloo (big leek-filled ravioli), mantoo (small beef filled dumplings), and borani badenjan (eggplant/tomatoes/yogurt), which can also be had as entree-sized items. They also have kabobs -- beef, lamb and chicken. We had a mantoo entree, sabzi with lamb, and chicken kabob. I'm not an Afghani cuisine expert, so I can't comment on the authenticity, but all were very tasty IMHO, and I definitely want to return to try more items. Appetizers range from $3 to $7. Entrees and kabobs range $9 to $15 (lamb chops).
