When we were in DC we ate at Eat Right in Chinatown, and it was our favorite Chinese restaurant anywhere ever! We had a claypot eggplant dish, almost a little Indian in style to us, and a wonderful big fat Singapore noodle dish, a little Thai in stye (but better, and not greasy like so many real Thai restaurants). Is anyone familiar with this restaurant in DC who can recommend a restaurant with similar food in NYC? We get to NYC more often than DC but have never found such good Chinese-ish fare in the Big Apple (our favorites in NYC, though they are very different from Eat Right, are Congee Village, because the menu is such fun, and Golden Unicorn and Dim Sum Go Go, both for dim sum).
I have cross posted this message on the NYCC board.
