... Thirteen restaurants in the D.C. market have received AAA's Four Diamond award for outstanding service.

Kobalt in the Ritz-Carlton at 22nd and M streets in D.C., Maestro in the Tysons Corner Ritz and Bailiwick Inn in Fairfax were all bestowed the honor for the first time.

Other winners: The Willard Room for its 14th year; Citronelle (2nd year); Melrose (9 years) and Seasons (8 years), all in D.C.; Elysium in Alexandria (8 years), The Grill in Arlington (7 years), L'Auberge Chez Francois in Great Falls (10 years), Prince Michel Restaurant in Leon (7 years) and L'Auberge Provencale in White Post (11 years).

Restaurants meet Four Diamond criteria for food reflecting highest culinary skills and creative presentation, a professional staff, flawless service and a distinctive ambiance. AAA began its diamond ratings in 1977.
