DC on Friday - casual but great food

GJG854 | Aug 17, 2009 08:35 AM

I'll be in DC this Friday night. Staying in the Courthouse area of Arlington. I'm looking for a place for dinner that night with a few friends. Great food, young/hip atmosphere, casual and fun. Something not too expensive ($30+ entrees) would be great. Good drinks and bistro type food. I'm thinking of places like The Harrison, The Little Owl, or Gramercy Taven (tavern menu) in NYC if that helps. Can be in Arlington or in DC proper, but we won't have a car so fairly close to a metro stop would be best. I've eaten at 1789 in the past but think it would be too stuffy/formal for this occasion. I've heard good things about Blue Duck Tavern. Any recommendations? Thanks!
