Hi San Antonio Hounds,
I'm heading to San Antonio for work in early June want to maximize my eating pleasure while there for 4 days. I'd love to know about local haunts and primarily places that aren't terribly expensive. I much prefer homey food to tall food, don't care much about ambience, and absolutely, positively want to avoid tourist joints.
Here are a few factors (greatly?!) affecting my chowhounding: I'll be in meetings pretty much all day (although I can and definitely will grab lunch on my own!), I'll be staying at our meeting hotel (I think it's the Adams Mark) on the Riverwalk, and I won't have a car.
I haven't been to San Antonio before so I'm looking forward to what the city has to offer. Fellow hounds have clued me in on previous travels (and hopefully my wife and I have helped a few chowhounds out, too)!
Thanks in advance!
