I've been reading the messages and thought I'd let others know that Betty's on A1A is not there any more. Rumor is she will reopen as soon as she can find/buy the restaurant she wants.

There is very good seafood at Pier 16 on 17/92 in Orange City. Rustic, former BBQ house, but the shrimp and the oysters were wonderful. Oysters as good as Boss Oysters in Apalachicola, FL.

There's good Italian at Anna's Tratoria on Seabreeze in Daytona Beach. Good service as well.

The best fried chicken in the county is at Church's Fried Chicken on Orange Ave, just one block east of Nova. I know it's a chain, but these owners definitely know what they're doing with the chicken. Cajun rice is well seasoned, and cole slaw is good. Haven't really tried anything else.

Best burgers in town are at The Brickyard on International Speedway Blvd (it's still Volusia Ave to me :-)) I've been told that the steaks are good also, but I've never been tempted past the burgers.
