I just read the calendar online and am not quite sure if my computer is messing with me or not, Davio's gets a 3 star review??? That is pretty depressing, pretty much seals up for me that this city needs some new restaurant reviewers(preferably reviewers that actually eat the food and have a bit of knowledge about it). Seems to me that Arnett mentions as many missteps with the food as she hands out accolades. Well she certainly likes the room. Am I missing something here? Yeah, I like the room too but have never had anything remotely remarkable at either of the Davio's locations(I should say any but I haven't been to the ones other than when it was on Newbury and this one on Stuart/Arlington).
I can't exactly picture enough juices running out of a cooked quail to actually moisten a farro salad sufficiently. Corn ragu with crab...yeah corn is pretty much in season in New England year round...
I just don't get it.
Forgive my ranting.
I think I'm gonna go back just to make sure I wasn't sleeping when I got my $10 Martini and mediocre appetizers...or would that be counterproductive?
