Dave's Fresh Pasta

Mike | May 20, 2004 04:04 PM

I've just found these message boards and what a valuable resource! Thank you all for the great discussion and recommendations (including not a few of my favorites).

I'm surprised to find no mention of Dave's Fresh Pasta on Holland St. in Davis Square. It's the best take out we've found in our neck of the woods with a very friendly staff to boot, including Dave himself. Check out their website (below) for the full rundown but the stars of the pasta show are ravioli in great flavors like porcini mushroom, ricotta and fresh pea, gorgonzola, etc. which change regularly. I also have to give it up for the full-fat garlic bread, mmm-mmm. Dave's also carries a good selection of cheeses both local and imported as well as olives, capers, antipasti, and a small selection of groceries like olive oil and tomatoes both canned and fresh.

The word on the street is that Mr. Crepe next door (tasty but over priced/under sized) is closing this summer and Dave's is expanding to fill the space, hopefully with a wine and beer selection added.

I've got no affiliation with the place other than eating from there a couple of times a week but I can't recommend it enough.

Mike
