Date Night in San Diego

cookin_mama | Jan 6, 201903:07 PM     4

I'm hunting for a spot for my husband & I to go for dinner when we are in San Diego next week. There are so many great options to choose from! I've had a look at Juniper & Ivy, Herb & Wood, the Addison ( which as much as I'd like to, is just too pricey), Georges at the Cove, El Jardin, Campfire, The Fishery... I'm torn between 2 ideas. The first is finding a nice quiet place and have a long dinner where we can chat all night. The second is to go to a hip neighbourhood - start at a cool bar (like False Idol), or Carruth Cellars Winery, and then move on to a happening restaurant, and maybe finish with dessert somewhere. We don't get to go out much, so I really want this one to be lots of fun! We're love lots of different kinds of food - but aren't huge sushi fans. So I would be so grateful for some multistep evening ideas, as well as some idea as to what restaurants mights be a bit more quiet and romantic. Thank-you!!
