We went to XYZ for the first time last night, based on the sample menu posted on the DAT web site. Unfortunately, it seems that the menu that is posted there (including the $16.95 wine tasting flight)is from last year. The waiter said that DAT had used last year's menu (like it was all their fault), but this is the same page that the link on XYZ's own website directs you to, so someone there wasn't really checking either.

The wine flight this year is $19.95 and the chef has added an extra course with 2 suggestions - foie gras for $13, I think, and something else for $10 (something with truffles maybe) in the middle of the DAT menu. There is also a $10 surcharge for shaved truffles on one of the entrees, so if you're not careful your $31.95 dinner can be more than you expect.

Having never eaten there before, I was actually quite happy with my meal, but I'm not sure I would go back. The atmosphere is too hip for me...that's why we decided to try it during DAT.

My friends had the green salad with pears, risotto with shrimp and scallops, and panacotta. I had the spicy tuna tartare, ribs with butter beans and escarole and chocolate/banana bread pudding. (Sorry that I don't have the menu for exactly what the dishes were...this is pretty close.) It seemed like a pretty good value and we were all satisfied when we left.
