Dark Pretzels

I've always loved packaged pretzels for snacks. But I find most brands lack character. They're just salty carb vehicles.

My current favorite is Happy Herbert's Penn Dutch Extra Dark. These are thick bavarian-style, handmade, lightly salted. Baked VERY dark in an Amish stone hearth oven. Just the right ratio of hardness to brittleness. (They also sell standard non-dark pretzels.)

Utz makes an extra dark pretzel which I don't like nearly as much.

Anyone have a favorite pretzel?
