Dara Thai in Flagstaff

We headed to Flagstaff this weekend to escape the oppressive heat in Phoenix (which promises only to get worse) and had a delicious meal at Dara Thai, almost by accident. I had read good reviews of Racha Thai (on San Francisco Street, next to the Monte Vista Hotel) and recommended to my travelling companions that we eat there. They agreed that Thai was a great idea, and gave us directions to the restaurant. It turns out that their directions were to Dara Thai, on San Francisco and East Phoenix, south of the railroad tracks. After checking with a patron of the convenience store next door, who said he liked Dara Thai better than Racha Thai, we decided to wait for our friends and eat at Dara.

For five people we ordered: Tom Ka Gai soup, Woon Sen soup, Panang Curry with Beef, the enticingly-named Evil Jungle Princess, the Dara Curry (which is on the menu with tofu, but they made for us with seafood), Chicken Satay and a yellow curry, the specifics of which I don't recall. Everything was great, perfectly spiced and just downright delicious. The service was friendly and knowledgable. Some of the best Thai food I've had in Arizona.
