Daily Soup - It's BACK!

Karen A. | Oct 22, 2000 10:06 PM

A couple of months ago Daily Soup was bought out by another company. The result = lousy soups (different recipes - they no longer had Leslie Kuhn as chef) and same high prices.

TOday, as it was raining outside and I was pining for a good 12 oz. container of soup, I decided to just "check out" the Daily Soup website i had bookmarked on my Netscape browser.

I was surprised (and elated) to learn that "Daily Soup" on 55 Broad Street was now offering the same old daily soup that we knew and loved.

The prices are now cheaper (we are no longer forced to take an unwanted piece of fruit that only gathers fruit flies in the office) - $2.95 for the blue pot special. And for those who still want the fruit, it is a mere 50 cents.

I had the Tomato roasted garlic with the wholewheat bread. It was definitely the soup I remembered and they gave a much bigger piece of bread than what I was used to.

So, if you work in the Downtown area, or if you just plain old miss Daily Soup, go to its 55 Broad Street (between Beaver street and Exchange - near the COSI and the Starbucks)location. I don't think you will be disappointed.
