Dacquoise emergency! Help!

It's all foggy here and my dacquoise has been in the oven for over three hours and hasn't dried out yet. I think it's going to stay somewhat sticky. I was going to sandwich it between two layers of genoise with lemon curd whipped cream between the cakes. What happens when you use a sticky dacquoise? Does it soak up any liquid from the filling like it would if it had gotten properly crunchy? Does it get even more sticky and icky, or will it be nice all tucked in there between whipped cream and soaked cake? Should I throw out the dacquoise layer or use it? I have to decide in the next hour because this cake has to get assembled and chilled tonight. I hope someone out there has some experience with this...
