I am going out to eat at a fancy restaurant in Vancouver that has extremely high wine prices. My wife and I will be going with a friend who is not at all serious about wine, and she is paying for the meal, so I am hoping to choose a wine that is not grossly expensive as our friend would be aghast (even if my wife and I offered to pay for the wine).
I noticed that the restaurant offered half-bottles of Cuvaison PN 2004 at a decent price (I won't say what the price is here, because the restaurant is in Canada, so I am sure that you would all gasp with horror at the mark-up; however, it is reasonably well priced in relation to the other wines...i.e. a bottle of Sea Smoke "Ten" is listed at $260 on the wine list).
Anyway, any opinions on the Cuvaison PN 04?
