How to cut sweet potatoes easily

nickblesch | Oct 25, 201508:49 AM     9

Hey all,

I love sweet potatoes and I love using them in various dishes, but - let's be honest - they're a giant pain to break down. I've got a good knife, I keep it sharp, I'm competent with it, etc, but I dream of a way to make the process easier.

I was thinking about trying this: poke a few holes with a fork, microwave for just like 5 minutes, then peel and get to work. It's gotta soften them a bit without causing them to just fall apart in my chili, right?

If anyone has tried that it has any other tips, they would be greatly appreciated!
