Last nite, several of delighted in the prix fixe goat special dinner at Miss Ollie's. It was outstanding, and all agreed that the organic Nubian goat (from a local purveyor) was the most tender preparation of the meat, and most interesting layers of flavors, we've ever enjoyed.
Served with Yukon Gold potatoes, quartered and roasted in some of the yummy goat juice or fat, me thinks, and basmati rice. Preceded by a large bowl of "Mannish Water Soup" made from goat testicles + an unusual squash from 1 of the islands, typically served on the eve of a wedding to enhance performance, we were told... Finally, a dessert of figs and plaintain that left you wanting more even tho we all were completely stuffed.
for $40, it also include a bottle of Red Stripe beer from the islands and a glass of wine.
