Culinary Challenged Needs Help w/Chicken Wings - How to Make Skin Crispy without Burning the Skin or Overcooking Inside?

Hi, I'm marinating some chicken drummettes & wings tonight (soy sauce, vinegar, garlic & onion powder, sugar) and will bake them tomorrow. I never have the right temperature or time to get the skin crispy enough and the inside cooked but not overcooked. My boyfriend gags when the skin isn't crispy and I gag when the meat is overcooked. Any suggestions? Thanks!
