I bought one on eBay a few months ago. Then my life heated up and I've been too busy to use it since it was shipped to me. I tried it out last night and it works beautifully, except I'm not sure how to get the bowl off.
My previous Cuisinart, a newer model, had a bowl that twisted and lifted off.
The attached picture shows what's throwing me off:
1. A safety switch for the motor that comes up through a conduit in the bowl to engage the lid when the lid is on securely.
2. Tabbed phalanges that pop out into holes in the bowl to hold it securely in place. These phalanges have ridges on either side of them to prevent the bowl from rotating. It looks like you would just lift the bowl straight off, but this is not easy to do. I've given it a few good tugs already.
Before I try to muscle it off and possibly break it, could anyone tell me the trick to remove it?
I sure would be grateful.
