Cuban, Peruvian, Vegetarian Indian on W. 29 St.

I walked down W. 29 St. between Sixth and Seventh today and noted three restaurants I wouldn't have thought were there, buried in among all the cool wholesale outlets, furriers etc.

the first was a really oldstyle-looking Cuban restaurant (or Dominican or Puerto Rican or... they advertised Cubano Sandwiches, but all these places carry those) called "Weekend Restaurant". Old coca-cola sign, looked awesome. Also completely empty, never a good sign, but it was 3 PM on a Saturday.

the second was a Peruvian place. Same side of the street (downtown) a few doors closer to Seventh. Closed. Anyone know it?

the third was a large and new-looking vegetarian Indian place... I'm assuming southern Indian and catering to kosher eaters in the area. Again, has anyone tried it?

I carried on down to Sucelt for an absolutely heartwarming simple meal of yellow rice, red beans, a beef empanada, fresh-squeezed orange juice and their astounding hot sauce.
