Cuba Libre Recs

Looking for some recent recommendations on this place.

I searched the board for some actual recommendations and didn't find too much about the actual food other than the "oyster appetizer" was good, as well as a recommendation for the Lechon Asada (which doesn't appear to be on the menu) and a Tuna Steak entree that were supposedly good. (Oh, and one time the Oxtail was dry and another time it was tender).

Yes, I know that on Saturday it is going to be Trendy AS HELL and the service will probably be dodgy (but at least we are going at 7pm. We don't want it dead but as one poster said, we don't want "Barbie and Ken" Central either).

That said, we're up for a bit of snobby showbiz cheese.

I should mention that none of us like too much fruit with savory items (therefore, anything resting on a pile of mango salsa is out of the question, and coconut is not a fave either).

I did see a duck salad that looked good, along with various steak and pork options. And how can they mess up Black Beans and Rice? I was wondering if there is one thing in particular that is not to be missed.

Is the sangria any good?
