CSA/Panier bio

I understand that we are in harsh weather and that i should expect lots of root vegetables in my CSA share, but does everyone else's share contain exactly the same 8-9 veggies every pickup? We can always eat the carrots, onions potatos , garlic and beets that we get, but please, what am i supposed to do with 1 pound of celery root, two pounds of rutabaga and two pounds of rabiole every two weeks. There must be other vegetables that grow in this weather: jerusalem artichokes? radishes? sweet potatos? yams?

Ok, i have no clue what does or does not grow in this weather but are all the shares like that, or is it just this farm? And what's the point of going the CSA route if there are no heirloom varieties in my basket?
