Crustacean Is Really That Bad

dtud | Aug 15, 200506:56 PM

I had to go to Crustacean for a business meal recently and so I checked on the board to see what you guys had to say. It didn't sound promising, but I thought - hopefully they're wrong. You weren't. This place is just so average (well, below average b/c I would never go back). And the prices are so outlandish! We started with a mixed appetizer platter. Crab puffs - very fishy, but overall bland; beef skewers - the best thing i had all night; just a light garlic/soy sauce; dumplings - boring; and shrimp fried in coconut - basically tasted how it sounds and it was fine.

I ordered the seafood dumplings ($15) and prawns in garlic saucce ($35). The seafood dumplings were again ok, but boring. They had a seafood taste, but no other flavor. The sauce that came with them was basically soy sauce. The prawns came. There were four prawns cut lengthwise and served with what - literally - looked like noodles from panda express. Unfortunately, they were not as tasty as panda! The prawns had been grilled to a very well done state and the meat was totally stuck in the shell. I had to fight to get teh meat off teh shell - it was so tough! They tasted - fine - like nothing pretty much.

I just can't believe it cost so much and was so incredibly bad. I had to go b/c someone else picked it and was buying - so I didn't lose anything, but it was so bad! Please don't support this place!
