Crushing Canned Whole Tomatoes, Kitchen Hack

I'm sure this is not an original idea but I frequently use 28 oz. canned whole peeled tomatoes that I break up in my hand which is somewhat messy. Today, I was making a meat sauce for lasagna and grabbed my potato masher to break up some clumped ground meat in the pot. Then I noticed it fit the tomato can perfectly. It worked liked a charm! Go slow or it will overflow. I made sever passes as I wanted the tomatoes in pretty pieces.
