Went for tea with my two nana's today. It was lovely. The room is on the small side, but cozy and wonderfully decorated. The china was also very nice.
All of us had the Duchess tea which comes with 6 tea sandwiches, a scone, tea treats, and a 3 cup pot of tea.
Sandwiches: ham salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese, and turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce. They were all very good. I enjoyed the chicken salad very much and my grandmothers were happy with the ham salad.
Scones: choice of blueberry/strawberry and apricot. All were delicious and came with sweet cream and preserves. Yummy!
Tea treats: a mini lemon bundt cake that was delicious, a small chocolate cake that was my favorite, and 2 pieces of gingerbread cake. All were fantastic!
There was a small serving of fruit included that wasn't necessary. It was from a can and not up to the standards of the rest of the food. I would rather have not received the fruit.
Teas were great. They were served in 3-cup pots surrounded by tea cozies. I actually got 5 cups out of my pot.
Overall, it was a lovely afternoon out and I would definately go back again.
There is also a very small gift shop in back.
Oh, you also get a small chocolate with your bill.
