A while back there was a rather long thread about favorite places for sandwiches. I was surprised to see The Crumpet Shop in the market on the list - I thought they only served crumpets. I finally made it there this weekend and I want to confirm what the others have said. It was the best roast turkey sandwich I have ever had. I think their bread is what makes it so spectacular. It is soft, nutty and smells freshly baked. The turkey was warm and seasoned to perfection. The tomatoes, while not very red, had good flavor. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. I bought a whole sandwich but had to take half of it home to share with my husband. I will definitely go again. Thanks for posting.
