My girlfriend had a delicious Croque Monsieur on Saturday. I always thought it was just a cheese and ham toasty, but this one was a bit special - let m explain:

One slice of delicious granary bread, spread with a tasty bechamel, and topped with a slice of parma ham. Then another slice of bread on top with melted cheese (unsure what kind, but it was slightly toasted, then melty.) come to think of it, there may have been bechamel under the cheese too. Both the slices were face up, and ordinarily, I'd say it needed more filling, but the bread was just so darn good.

I had a chorizo and shropshire blue cheese tart, and that was nice.
