Croissant Investigations

I started yesterday with the croissant recommendations I received from Chowhounds at Patisserie Delanghe on 1890 Fillmore. A good sign when I entered was a slogan that said "butter croissants."I chose a plain croissant for starters but when I told the lovely French lady (manager/owner) of the bakery about my quest she immediately gave me a whole chocolate and almond croissant to sample!I saved them all for breakfast next morning to savour the full impact. My verdict: lovely moist, light croissants which can be easily consumed en masse with butter and jam or just plain. I could taste a hint of that traditional, yeasty and buttery flavour that real croissants are so famous for.
