I want to buy one, and only one, so a comprehensive cookbook would be ideal. Any recommendations for the one I simply shouldn't be without?
I don't mind a bit of work to put the ingredients in the crockpot -- it's the quality of the finished dish that I most care about, not necessarily the convenience factor.
Recipes that call for canned cream of mushroom soup, or canned or frozen vegetables and the like are not my cooking style. Canned broth, OTOH, is fine with me.
