Critique my itinerary! Vancouver August 2017

meghann | Jul 1, 201712:37 PM

Hi everyone, my husband and I are visiting Vancouver from Halifax in August for a wedding. We will be in town from the 18th-26th. I have made a bunch of dinner reservations already but we aren't necessarily committed to them, so I would welcome your advice on which, if any, we should cancel, or anything we should add to our itinerary. We are open to any cuisine and price point as long as it's good food. You'll notice a lack of Asian food - my husband is allergic to nuts and fish so we are nervous about going places with a high risk of contamination, especially when we don't speak the language. That said, if anyone has any suggestions of places that are good at accommodating allergies, let me know!

We have reservations at:
Hawksworth (for our first wedding anniversary)
Nightingale
Kissa Tanto
The Farmer's Apprentice
Bishop's

We are staying at the Coast Coal Harbour for a couple nights, then an apartment on East Pender, then for the last two nights the OPUS hotel. We're hoping to meet another couple on our first night at the Coast Coal Harbour, so would appreciate a recommendation near there.

We are also really interested in beer and wine. We have tickets for Vancouver Brewery Tours' walking tour (stops at Brassneck Brewing, Faculty Brewing Co. and Big Rock Urban Brewery and Eatery) and are hoping to check out Alibi Room some night.

Thanks for reading! Looking forward to our first visit to your city.
