Went to Crispo on Thursday night...big mistake. While the atmosphere in the carriage house was wonderful, our servers were very pleasant the food was a letdown. Started with the risotto balls which were fine, crispy outside and creamy inside. The prosciutto appetizers, of which there were many were fine. But the pasta was horrible. I had the special which was pappardelle which was a bland sticky clump of pasta. I know this type of noodle is tricky to cook but if you can"t do it don"t offer it. The trumpet mushrooms which were supposed to be the main part of the sauce were almost non existent and the whole thing was covered in a wet blanket of gritty greens which was supposed to be chervil but seemed more like kale. UGGHHH. The pasta San Daniele was just o.k. as was the carbonara. I would never go back. Luckily the rest of the restaurants we chose had great food!!
