I made a crisp today with some peaches I got at various places - some farm mkt, some Berk Bowl. The topping is fantastic! Rolled Oats, organc walnuts, butter, brown sugar and some flour....however, the peach part is not so hot. I was thinking about injecting something into the fruit part with a bulb baster and then putting it in the oven for a while....company coming for dinner Monday night and I was hoping to serve this. I put lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg on the peaches but it's bland.
Also, I am going to make opah as a main course. Any suggestions? I have to cook after work so no big deal projects, plz. I have lots of good fresh tomatoes and was going to make a sort of caprese with mozzarella and basil and tomatoes to go with.
