Crime & Dragnet

Hazelhurst | Dec 22, 2002 12:18 PM

In what we can assume was an effort to get Xmas shopping money, a couple of men knocked down an employee of The Yellow Bowl restaurant in Jeanerrette and stole the bank deposit, according to St Mary Parish Sheriff's deputies. No injuries reported nor amount of cash stolen.

If they'd stolen recipies from this venerable spot they could have gone straight.

Most excitment in Acadiana since some guy tried to knock over T-Bob's fry shack on Vermot School Rd in Lafayette a few years ago. (He also ordered some fried shrimp and while they were cooking the cops spotted him--he was wanted for robbing a gas station earlier in the day).

Further details of this heinous crime as they develop. Those guys better hope the cops find them before the Yellow Bowl customers do!
