Creme de la Creme

I just returned from a lovely lunch at a little place that opened in November called Creme de la Creme which is across from the Safeway on MacArthur Blvd. They are also the only authorized seller of Fauchon in Washington, DC and have a Fauchon pastry chef on site whom is supposed to be one of the top ten pastry chefs in the country. The owner is Moroccan and there is a wonderful blend of French, Mediterranean and Moroccan influence in this shop. They serve Illy espresso, cappucino, etc and Moroccan Mint tea. They have wonderful roasted veggies and salads as well as wraps, sandwiches, crepes and a few Moroccan dishes such as Pastilla. I consider this place to be a real find!
