We dined at Creek 28 last night, and had a lovely dinner, in the garden. It is owned & run by Chef Kira Volz, from the Abbey Hotel.
The atmosphere is absolutely lovely (in the garden) albeit a bit humid & hot, last night. We suggested installing fans, since the indoor dining is rather limited. But it is very European and the food, or, at least what we ate was wonderful.
We began with goat cheese in philo dough with caramalized onions & fruit compote.
And for our entrees tried the Sea Bass which was served on a bed of roast Romaine & topped with chopped mushrooms (couldn't figure out what she combined with the mushrooms). The fish was done perfectly... and the flavor combos were lovely.
Dessert was her version of Baklava, which was delicious.
This is a lovely addition to the South Beach scene,
without really being in the middle of the action.

It is in the Indian Creek Hotel on 28th Street and Indian Creek Drive. Parking was easy, since there are meters on the Drive but don't require moneys after 6:00 P.M.
