Creative Challenge 4 U

Hi Chowhounders. I'm always so impressed with the great cooks on the Home Cooking section. I can follow a recipe, but am not good in the ways of 'creating' something from scratch. The other day, I put raisens in hot water to plump them up. Actually I forgot they were soaking and they were in the water for about an hour. When I took them out (and used them in my recipe), I looked at the 'raisen water" it was nice and brown, and thought, there must be something I can do with that raisen water rather than throw it out. Any ideas, Chowhounder Cooks? I'm clueless....THANKS
