Creamy, dreamy make-ahead mac-and-cheese

Does anyone have a great recipe for this? Need something I can make a day in advance for a party and cook through/warm up in the oven on site. I was thinking of the recipe below, but don’t know if it’s a possible make-ahead dish since the recipe doesn’t give that option.
