Cream fraiche help, for tonight

I made cream fraiche to top an olive oil walnut cake (along with an apple compote) The cake isn't overly sweet. The apple compote has a bit of a sour note, despite the fact that I halved the lemon juice and added more sugar than the recipe called for.
My question: should I sweeten the cream fraiche? If so, how would I go about doing this?
