i'm in search of the very old-fashioned pork cracklings -- the crispy bits of lean left over from lard rendering -- that my mom used to put into cornbread. i know it's all very "little house on the prarie" - but how i long for them in this trouble modern world!

any specific news about where to get them in my part of the world, or via mailorder, would be enormously welcome. or perhaps we could work out a trade: if you could send me some i could easily send something fab form new york (rugalah! bagels! spices!) that you can't find where you live...
