More on crabcake quest

Alice | Sep 5, 2004 08:45 PM

Today my husband and I went bike riding on the eastern shore. We always stop at this little place in Oxford, used to be the Pier Street Inn, I think. The kind of place where you could get a softshell crab on white bread.

Now it is called, the Masthead on/at Pier Street. The BEST crabcake I've ever had. I'm a fan of lots of lump, practically no filler, and not crusty. Which was exacty how it came. It was soft, juicy, tasty, just plain fabulous.

The Masthead on/at Pier Street in Oxford. I highly recommend it. You can watch the seagulls try to land on a pointed metal pier, which is hilarious as their feet slip and slide. A heron flew by and landed right next door. A group of three white adult swans and 2 brown juveniles paddles past. It was a lovely respite from riding in the 2nd worst wind I've even ridden!
