Crab Pot in Long Beach vs. Crab Cooker in Newport

liujaroo | Apr 22, 200610:47 PM

Hi, fellow hounds,

this is a pretty narrow question! My parents and I will be in Newport Beach in two weekends for a family wedding ... my dad is old-school Chinese who loves a good, cheap (he didn't pick Newport Beach for my cousin's wedding, obviously), tasty crab-n-lobster feed. (We would love something along the lines of the salted Vietnamese crab at the Crustacean chain/Thanh Long in San Francisco!) Fancy is not at all necessary; in fact, tends to be distrusted.

With that as a goal, would you recommend the Crab Pot in Long Beach or the Crab Cooker in Newport Beach?

Thanks so, so, so much in advance!!
