i had the best crab and pork soup dumplings at shanghai pavilion the other day. they were really amazing. the skin of the dumplings were just right not too thick but not too thin to fall apart. the soup in the dumplings was excellent.
also there was a great fish dish (bamboo something or other) that was good and they gave us a small bowl of fish bone soup on the side that was amazing. i think the first thing i'll crave in the winter will be this soup - homestyle and really rich in flavor almost a bowl of broth. if you like the bone marrow soup at kammeok in korea town then you'll love this too - it's basically the same thing except they use fish bones to make the soup milky white by cooking it forever.
can't wait to try other dishes there...any suggestions would be welcome.
