In past posts I have lamented the loss of Dungeness crab cakes at Wet Dog (now named something else) and Aspen Grove (out of business), but today I have good news to report. I happened to be here on a Sunday this trip, and discovered the Sunday Market, an outdoor event, and a booth called Sue’s Awesome Crab Cakes. They don’t look as professional as those from the fine restaurants, but they are every bit as good. This is now an essential stop, given the loss of my previous sources.

I have just one caveat: You have to bring your own cayenne to punch up the sauce. I always travel with that anyway.
