Cow beef -- an exotic taste treat

I have no idea what this line on the menu at Antejitos Guatemaletecos means, and I wasn't about to order it to find out. Would sucked if it was a burger, after all. (The menu easily has more malapropisms than any I've seen, but this is the one that burned itself into my brain.)

Anyway, I finally got to said restaurant tonight, on Clark between Wilson & Leland, the first restaurant mentioned in the Reader's recent listing of Puerto Rican and other Latin restaurants. It was OK; I suspect it's a better winter restaurant, as the menu mentioned the items appropriate for cold weather. I had a tostada appetizer that was OK, shredded beef and potatoes that was OK, and plantains in mole for dessert. It was OK. I s'pose I'll go back when it's time to bitch about how cold it is, but the odd phrases on the menu ended up being the best thing about the place. Once again, a decent little neighborhood joint that's probably just like one in most neighborhoods, so not worth a special trip.
