COVID 19 picnic--need suggestions!

soccermom13 | Jun 5, 202004:28 AM     34

A couple we know treated us to a lovely outing pre-COVID 19. We had planned to have them over for a nice home-cooked dinner as a way to express our gratitude. But now, since we are all over 65 and the elderly parent of one of us will be in the group of five, we have decided that a picnic would be better than having five "old" people in our home.

But I am struggling with what to serve. The site of the picnic is less than a mile away, so keeping things hot as I transport them from home would not be a problem. We can bring cold drinks in our smallish cooler and I could probably fit a salad into it. (FYI--we can't grill at this picnic site.)

I would love to hear your suggestions.

Thanks in advance.
