Visited a favorite Caribbean restaurant recently and ordered a Red Stripe, of course. I chose to go without a glass, so automatically our friendly bartender twisted a paper napkin over the top of the bottle. Then I though back and realized I had encountered the same beer service etiquette at a Jamaican restaurant not long ago. What do you think of this? Is this the proper Caribbean way? Do other cultures serve this way, too?
