I recently had lunch at Ba KY on Bellaire and beltway 8 in Houston and was very pleased with all my food, but 1 dish in particular really made me crave eating there soon. The duck appetizer on the menu for $7-8 is one of the best duck dishes I have ever had. All to often I see duck on the menu and think of how good it can be to only find out that the restaurant butchers it. Not so at Ba Ky. The skin is more crispy than you can imagine and the meat is as juicy as a well fries chicken. they serve it with a hoisin type sauce. the restaurant itself is really nice and all the other dishes were very good. I just had to say something about this dish in particular.
I had the Chile en Nogada today at Otilla's and it was etheral. What a great dish. Stuffed pablano pepper in a walnut cream sauce. No pomegranates today though.
