Had a couple of delicious cocktails the other day

We were meeting friends for lunch at Goose and Gander in St. Helena, CA. Got there early for a cocktail. I was determined to have something with "brown" liquor in it and knew I needed somebody qualified to make it. Mine was

Bali Spice Old Fashioned ~ 12
St. George Breaking & Entering Bourbon,
Clove, Cinnamon, Star Anise, Orange,

I didn't bug him to death but he does make a simple syrup with the clove, cinnamon and star anise. This was served on the "rock" the "Gourmet" ice cube I referred to in another post. I adored it. I chose it cause I love those three spices especially.

Bob had the

Scarlet Gander ~ 11
Hangar One Buddha’s Hand Citron Vodka,
Lemon, Ginger, Shiso, Galangal, Rhubarb

SO refreshing. THAT was a drink that could get me in trouble cause you don't really think you're drinking :)

I'm just posting this to say thanks for getting me into a "brown" drink. I'll try more.
