I was doing some consulting work at SUNY Stony Brook a few years back. We'd often work late into the evening, and would repair to a place on Route 25A in East Setauket when the day was through. It was a nice, relaxed pub in a damn old building that had a goodly number of tap and bottled beers.
The owner - Sahak, I believe - was a jeweler by trade. I think he bought the joint after going into semi-retirement. I remember him as being rather rude. He compensated for his roughness in manner with a quite passable menu of Armenian bar food.
I believe this place is still in operation. Has anyone been there recently? I'd like to hear a report on the food (which was never exactly great).
